Kitchen Tune-Up
A franchise agreement takes place when the concerned parties involved are bound together through certain contractual provisions. This is an arrangement whereby someone with an idea for a business, the franchisor, sells to another person the franchisee the rights to use the business's name, sell a product, or provide a service to someone else. A franchise agreement will usually specify the given territory the franchisee retains exclusive control over the area protection, as well as the extent to which the franchisee will be supported by the franchisor. Dave Haglund began a cabinet distributorship in 1975 and found his market niche while visiting a customer’s home in 1986. Franchisees offer wood restoration and repair for both residential and commercial customers, as well as finish recoating, door replacement and a branded line of custom cabinets. In addition, franchisees may offer shelf lining, replacement hardware, cabinet organizing accessories and wood care and maintenance. Franchisor is a privately-held company with 15 employees and 13 employees in franchise department. Franchising is an excellent way to be in business for you, but not by you, because the franchisor is always there to help. The franchise system, also known as the franchisor, provides a method of doing business that has been tested over time in the marketplace. The system provides it's expertise, experience and continues advertising and market support. Every franchise system is required by the Federal Trade Commission to prepare an extensive disclosure document for each potential franchise purchaser. Perhaps no other business is required by law to provide as much information to prospective buyers as franchises. Over twenty different items of information about the franchise are included in the disclosure document. These items include information about the history of the company, required fees and investment costs, information about the franchisor, and any litigation in which he or she has been involved. The total investment for this franchise varies from 79,500 to 86,100 dollars, with express or kiosk option available. Franchise fee is 25,000 dollars. The ongoing royalty fee is 4.5 to 7 percent. The term of agreement is of 10 years and is renewable. Kitchen Tune-Up was ranked 186 in 2006, 169 in 2005, 106 in 2004, 111 in 2003 and 321 in 2002 by entrepreneur magazine 2002-2006.
