This business started in 1927 in Dallas, TX; the first name used was Southland Ice Company because the first thing they sold was ice blocks to keep refrigerated foods. Until 1999, the company was still known as Southland Corporation, but they decided to change the name to 7- Eleven Inc.

Today, 7-Eleven is among the largest retail stores in the world; they operate more than 27,900 locations in the US and in other 17 countries.
